Well, being the geek that I am, I installed electronic cruise control on the bike this week. Overall it was a fairly easy installation and turned out really well.
The cruise unit not only monitors the RPM of the motor but also directly reads the speed from the ECU so it should be really accurate. I’m waiting on some silicone to cure prior to taking it out for a real shakedown run but just cruising around the block worked well. I may actually write up a good how-to for the VFRworld forum one of these days. Until then, here are some pics:
